National Committee Statement: The UCR invites all players in the institutional life of the country to restore harmony to find a solution to the crisis generated by the government's decision to use Central Bank reserves to pay debt without complying with the regulations.
Our call is wide because we consider all-Government, Opposition, political and social actors, we have a responsibility to share the duty to restore calm in the political attitudes and predictability in social behaviors.
is necessary to insist that the solution to this conflict must be in the realm of politics, represented here by the National Congress, running in full and with all his powers to resolve issues related to public debt and legal, social and budgetary implications.
Indeed, the experience of these days shows that Parliament avoid causing serious consequences affecting sensitive scenes of everyday life in the country and its citizens.
In this conviction, the National Committee of the UCR has directed its national legislators to promote the convening of plenary sessions of both chambers, to deal immediately and explicitly, as stated in the Constitution, Decrees of Necessity and Urgency dictates by the Executive.
